Under this heading we will carry out two tasks. Firstly, we will
evaluate current semantic theory in the light of the phenomena we
discover. The project members as a whole have competency in a range
of current theories (Montague's semantics, Discourse Representation
Theory, situation semantics and dynamic semantics) so this phase
will also serve to some extent as theory comparison in the light of
the Scandinavian data.
Secondly, we will examine ways of extending the theories to account
for the data we find.
